Tough times for Kadri in Toronto

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri has slowed down a bit lately, as the rest of his teammates, during the absence of Auston Matthews. Kadri's lack of production without Matthews in the lineup must be a cause of concern for head coach Mike Babcock, as Toronto lost their last three games.

Kadri, 27, has registered 23 points in 34 games so far this season, but he hasn't register a point in his last seven games, and has only two points in his last ten games.

Drafted seventh overall by the Leafs in 2009, Kadri had his best offensive season last year, when he scored 32 goals and added 29 assists for 61 total points in 82 games played. He added two points in six playoff games against the Washington Capitals. In 442 games played in the NHL so far, the London, Ontario native registered 281 points, and added six points in 13 playoff games.

The Maple Leafs are currently second in the Atlantic division with a record of 20-13-1. They will play their next game on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
