Buffalo Sabres head coach Phil Housley made some lineup changes ahead of tonight's game, as reported on Twitter by hockey insider Mike Harrington earlier today. Forward Benoit Pouliot and defenseman Justin Falk will be out of the lineup, and defenseman Josh Gorges and forward Scott Wilson will be back in action.

Gorges, 33, has two points and 11 penalty minutes in 18 games so far this season. He played 835 games in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks, the Montreal Canadiens and the Sabres, registering 125 points (regular season and playoffs included).

Wilson, 25, will be playing his ninth game with the Sabres, after he was acquired from the Detroit Red Wings on December fourth. The Wings acquired him earlier this season from the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has one point in 28 games played so far this season.

Pouliot, 31, has 11 points in 40 games played so far this season. He played 658 games in the NHL with the Sabres, the Minnesota Wild, the Montreal Canadiens, the Boston Bruins, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers, registering 269 points (regular season and playoffs included).

The Sabres are currently eight in the Atlantic division with a record of 10-21-9. They are facing the Winnipeg Jets tonight, who own a record of 23-11-7, good for the second position in the Central division. Chad Johnson is expected to get the start for Buffalo, and he will be facing Connor Hellebuyck.
