Ottawa Senators head coach Guy Boucher confirmed some lineup changes ahead of tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks, as reported on Twitter by hockey insider Brent Wallace earlier today. Defenseman Frederik Claesson and forward Filip Chlapik will be out of the lineup, and forward Zach Smith and defenseman Ben Harpur will be back in action. Smith missed the last five games with a shoulder injury. Ottawa also announced that Chlapik was sent down to the Belleville Senators (AHL). He played six games in the NHL this season, registering one point.

Smith, 29, was drafted 79th overall by the Senators in 2008. He played 498 games in the NHL so far, registering 154 points. The Maple Creek, Saskatchewan native added seven points in 45 playoff games. This season, he has eight points in 24 games.

Harpur, 22, was drafted 108th by Ottawa in 2013. The Hamilton, Ontario native played 36 games in the NHL, registering four points (regular season and playoffs included). So far this season, he has one point and 11 penalty minutes in 16 games.

The Senators are currently seventh in the Atlantic division with a record of 12-17-9. The Sharks come in town with a record of 21-12-5, good for the third position in the Pacific division. They lost their last game in shootout against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night, by the score of 3-2. Craig Anderson is getting the start for the Senators, and he will be facing Aaron Dell
