The Ottawa Senators couldn't be in worse shape.

Having loss 12 of their last 14 games, it looks like this franchise is going nowhere. Especially with owner Eugene Melnyk's recent comments about how they could possibly relocate in the near future.

Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman believes general manager Pierre Dorion could very well make a few trades over the next few weeks. He mentioned there are only small number of untouchables... And the newly-acquired Matt Duchene isn't part of them.

Here's what he said, as reported by FanRag Sports' Chris Nichols:

I do. I think they’ve taken a lot of calls,” said Friedman. “They’ve had questions about Hoffman. They’ve had questions about Ceci. They’ve had questions about Duchene. They’ve had questions about a lot of their guys. I don’t think they’re trading Karlsson right now, and I don’t think they’re trading Stone. But after that, I think they would listen on a lot."

Friedman also added that he doesn't believe Dorion would go as far as trading his best prospects:

And I don’t think they’re trading their young players like Chabot or Formenton, who started the season in Ottawa but is now with the junior team. I don’t think they’re doing that. But I think some of their other guys they’re going to at least listen on."

The next few weeks are certainly going to be extremely interesting in Ottawa...
