Is it time to trade Max Pacioretty? Some people are starting to believe Montreal Canadiens' general manager Marc Bergevin should definitely try to move his captain while he still has a certain value on the market.
The 29-year-old forward has only scored eight goals this season, on pace for a 20-goal campaign. That would be his lowest amount since the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season.
Former NHL scout and now Habs insider Grant McCagg made a pretty interesting trade proposition today. He suggested the Bergevin should call the New York Rangers:
If the Canadiens would actually be willing to make that trade, it would mean they are ready for a rebuild, as Filip Chytil is only 18 years old. And even though he's got a lot of potential, he wouldn't be ready to help the team just yet.
Would you do it?
