TSN ranks Alex Ovechkin 16th greatest of all-time!

TSN.ca writers did the hard exercice to rank the 25 best players to have ever played in the NHL, and Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin ended up at the 16th position on that list! Ovechkin is one of the three active players to be on that list, with Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby and Calgary Flames Jaromir Jagr.

Ovechkin, drafted first overall by the Capitals in 2004, scored 580 goals and added 490 assists for 1070 total points in 954 games played in the NHL so far. He added 90 points in 97 playoff games. This season, the 32-year old Russian forward has 22 goals and 13 assists for 35 points in 33 games played. 

Over the course of his 13 seasons played in the NHL, Alex Ovechkin won 14 indivual trophies.
