TSN.ca writers did the hard exercice to rank the 25 best players to have ever played in the NHL, and Boston Bruins legend Raymond Bourque ended up at the 18th position on that list!
Bourque, drafted eight overall by the Bruins in 1979, played 1612 games in the NHL with Boston and the Colorado Avalanche, registering 1579 points. He added 180 points in 214 playoff games. The Montreal, Quebec native was traded from Boston to Colorado in 2000, to have a shot at wining the Stanley Cup, which he did the next season with the Avalanche.
On an individual basis, Ray Bourque won the James Norris Trophy (best defenseman) five times.
