TSN.ca writers did the hard exercice to rank the 25 best players to have ever played in the NHL, and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby ended up at the eight position on that list! Crosby is one of the three active players to be on that list, with Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin and Calgary Flames Jaromir Jagr.
Crosby, drafted first overall by the Penguins in 2005, has registered 1059 points in 815 games played so far in the NHL. He added 164 points in 148 playoff games. This season, the Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native has 32 points in 33 games played. He helped the Penguins to win the Stanley Cup in 2009, 2016 and 2017. The 30-year old forward also won a total of 12 individual trophies. It will be interesting to see where Crosby will be ranked on the list of greatest players of all-time at the end of his career!
