World Juniors: Oilers prospect wastes no time to impress!

Right out of the gate, Edmonton Oilers prospect Ostap Safin has impressed for Team Czech Republic during the first game of the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championship with a goal in their opening tourney bout against Russia! He even got some immediate praise from his team on Twitter!

The 18 year old right winger is playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this year with the Saint John Sea Dogs and has 32 points in 33 games in the Q. Along with Necas and Zadina, Safin will be a dominant player for the Czechs at the World Juniors. Safin was taken 115th overall in the 4th round this year by the Oilers
