With 2017 closing out, and the new year approaching, we thought we'd take a look at what we think was the NHL's biggest hit of the year.
This particular one occurred in the 2016-17 season, and in case you didn't see it before, check it out here.
Colorado Avalanche defenseman Nikita Zadorov delivers a devastating blow to Winnipeg Jets' star centre Mark Scheifele's head, and sends him flying across two timezones.
Jacob Trouba and Patrik Laine go straight for Zadorov, with Trouba ultimately laying a beat down while the hulking defenseman turtled. The referees attempted to protect him, but there was no stopping Trouba from exacting his revenge.
A mini brawl ensued, with many penalties getting doled out.
What do you think - was this "hit of the year" worthy?
