Detroit Red Wings forward Andreas Athanasiou has just put his name in the National Hockey League's record books.
On Wednesday night during a 3 on 3 overtime against the Ottawa Senators, Athanasiou recorded the fatest overtime goal in NHL regular season history, find the back of the Senators net just 6 seconds after the puck was dropped.
While no one has done it faster, three other men also share a piece of that record and Athanasiou is joining some pretty good company considering the names that are currently on this list.
The other three who managed the feat were Mats Sundin in 1995, David Legwand in 2006, and Alexander Ovechkin also in 2006. Don't blink or you might miss it.
