Bailey bites off more than he can chew.

New York Islanders forward Josh Bailey was just trying to be a good teammate, but all he managed to do was take a few punches to the face.

On Thursday night during the third period of the match up between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Islanders, Flyers forward Sean Couturier leveled Islanders forward Anders Lee with a punishing hit at the Islanders blue line.

Despite the fact that it appeared to be a textbook shoulder-to-shoulder check, Bailey took exception and immediately challenged Couturier to a fight, something that now appears to have been a mistake.

Couturier landed the only significant shots of the exchange, the last of which appeared to buckle Bailey and set him falling down to the ice.
